WWII Mustang pilot Paul Crawford flew a total of 29 missions with Claire Chennault's 14th Air Force in China in 1945. He was shot down on his last mission while strafing a target, in a brand-new plane. He arrived safely back home to Americus, Georgia on Christmas Eve, 1945.
