This type A-2 flight jacket belonged to Bruce Lowe, a navigator attached to the 568th squadron. The patch on the front, a panther riding on top of a bomb, was the 568th squadron patch. While the artwork on the right breast of the jacket was the insignia for his brother’s B-26 squadron. Both Bruce and his twin brother wore this jacket on raids over Europe. Bruce completed 25 combat missions as a navigator with the 390th Bomb Group, before flying 10 missions with the 96th Bomb Group as the Pathfinder Lead Navigator.
