This type A2 flight jacket was worn by Dale Livingston, a pilot on “The Baby Buggy”. The 570th squadron patch is attached to the front of the jacket, and the crews name “The Baby Buggy” is painted above the 8th air force logo on the back of the jacket. Each bomb painted on the jacket signifies a completed mission. Livingston, his crew, and their aircraft received the nickname “The Baby Buggy” due to the average age of their crew, which was less than 21 years old. The crew also completed one of the fastest combat tours, they finished their 35 combat missions in 4 months, from June 1944 to September 1944.
