Edward W. Miller, a ball turret gunner attached to the 568th squadron, wore this type A2 flight jacket. The 568th squadron patch, a panther riding a bomb, is attached to the front left of the jacket. Above the squadron patch is the name plate which reads "E.W. Miller". Miller's Army Air Corps wings are attached to the jacket above the name plate. The 8th Air Force insignia patch is attached to the left sleeve of the jacket. The name of Miller's aircraft, "The Cousins", is painted on the back of the jacket.
