Heavily modified, this A-2 jacket was worn by Captain Earl Seay between 1943 and 1945, while serving as a fighter pilot in the CBI Theatre. Captain Seay added a fur collar, internal pockets with a "Blood Chit" featuring a nationalist Chinese flag and numerous patches. Captain Seay's applique patches, the American flag, Air Corps emblem and CBI insignia are constructed of layers of cut and dyed leather.
